Transportation Broker

Reports to: Regional Broker Manager

Job summary:
A Transportation Broker is responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining and/or growing existing business. The Transportation Broker acts as a liaison between freight customers and transportation providers.

Summary of essential job functions:
Develop and manage successful relationships with carries and customers

Track shipments, resolve issues as they arise

Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries

Call prospective customers and carriers to build upon our existing base

Minimum requirements:
College Degree or 2 years of experience in Transportation / Logistics

Prefer one year of experience working with Prophesy Transportation Software or similar software

Abilities & Skills required:
Negotiation and problem solving

Organizational and Multitasking

Telephone and sales

Pay Type:
This is considered an employee position with a competitive salary + commission.

Transportation Agent

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience

Commission only
